The importance of competition regulation is now globally recognized. In India also, a modern competition law is being implemented since May 2009. Many issues are emerging in practically every area of competition regulation. The world is changing at an unprecedented rate, with certain markets growing exponentially, certain products acquiring huge value, defying understanding within the traditional market and regulatory frameworks, also making application of traditional competition regulation tools very difficult.
Realizing the importance of competition law, Shaping Tomorrow organized an International Conference on Competition Regulation & Competitiveness on 5th February, 2015 in partnership with IIM, Kashipur and the leading Indian law firm AZB & Partners. The conference discussed the way forward for supporting a robust competition regulation framework in India. Shaping Tomorrow also organized an International Roundtable on its own on 6th February, 2016, on various dimensions of competition law.
The Conference was a 2-days afffair from 5th February 2016 to 6th February 2016. The first day consisted of presentations and discussions. And the second day was a round table. The complete agenda of the 2-days Conference is as follows :
