Santanu Chaudhary Professor & Dean, School of Advanced Computing Ashoka University

Santanu Chaudhury did his B.Tech (1984) in Electronics and Electrical Communication Engg  and Ph.D (1989) in Computer Science and Engg. from I.I.T, Kharagpur, India. Presently, he is Dean and Professor in the School of Advanced Computing at Ashoka University. He retired from the position of Professor in the department of Electrical Engineering., IIT Delhi on January 31st, 2026.

He had been Director, IIT Jodhpur and Director CSIR-Central Electronics Research Institute. He was also Dean, Undergraduate Studies at IIT Delhi. He held a number of Chair Professor positions at IIT Delhi.

He was awarded INSA medal for young scientists in 1993. He is a fellow of Indian National Academy of Engineers (INAE), The National Academy of Sciences (NASI) and International Association of Pattern Recognition (IAPR). He is also a recipient of Distinguished Alumni Award of IIT Kharagpur..

He has over 350 publications in reputed Journals and conferences and 15 patents with technologies commercialised by global industries. His areas of interests are Computer Vision, Artificial Intelligence, Digital Heritage, AR-VR &Multi-sensory media.

Prof. Indrajit Dube Prof IIT Kharagpur

Prof. Indrajit Dube is a legal scholar and academic leader, served as the Founding Vice Chancellor of National Law University Meghalaya. He is a Professor at the Rajiv Gandhi School of Intellectual Property Law at the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur. His expertise spans corporate law and governance, corporate environmental regulations, artificial intelligence, data governance, and competition law.

With a prolific academic career, Prof. Dube has authored several influential research papers published in leading national and international journals and contributed to books housed in the world's most prestigious law libraries. His research has influenced judicial decisions and shaped legal institutions and policies. He has also been an editorial board member and reviewer for journals on corporate law and governance.

Prof. Dube has been invited by law schools, professional bodies, business associations, and governmental committees in India and abroad to deliver keynote speeches, conduct specialised training, and participate in expert discussions. His involvement in national and international research collaborations reflects his dedication to advancing legal education and policy. He has been a member of several government-appointed committees, the European Corporate Governance Institute (Belgium), Corporate Law Teachers' Association (Australia), and INSOL International (UK).

As a founding faculty member of National Law University Jodhpur and the Rajiv Gandhi School of Intellectual Property Law at IIT Kharagpur, Prof. Dube has played a role in shaping legal education in India. Under his leadership, National Law University Meghalaya is shaping up as a futuristic, interdisciplinary, research-driven, and technology-integrated law University. His academic philosophy underscores the organic evolution of law in response to societal and technological advancements, ensuring future-ready legal professionals.
